The Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) will be organizing a one day meeting for all tourism related service providers at 'Sancharaka Udawa' on, 31st January, 2012 for the second consecutive year. Bringing together the wide network of personnel across the industry, this gathering will be the first of its kind in Sri Lanka. The main objective of this forum is to provide opportunities for those less exposed to mainstream tourism; creating a platform for small and medium service providers to network and build vital links with the tour operators and enter the wider spectrum of the Tourism industry. The expected benefits of this endeavour will be a substantial increase in transportation related logistics, accommodation, and resource of persons with foreign language skills.

For those intending to join or invest in the industry there will be many incentives. A few state banks will provide advice and also offer attractive interest rates on loans. An insurance company will also offer consultations on health and safety insurance related to tourism.
